Larry is the owner of the practice and has been in private practice since 1985. He grew up playing basketball and loves sports in general so physical therapy is a good fit for him. He gets to spend quality time with his patients to help them return to the activities they love to do as quickly and safely as possible. He loves treating orthopedic and spine patients and uses a variety of techniques including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and soft tissue mobilization. His manual techniques include McKenzie, Maitland, Mulligan, Paris, and Rocabado. He received certification (Cert. MDT) in mechanical diagnosis and therapy from the McKenzie institute. As a practicing McKenzie therapist he is heavily involved in patient education, teaching them how to manage their spinal problem on their own and to prevent future episodes of pain. Larry received his B.S. degree in Biology from MTSU, and attended the Universithy of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis for his PT degree. He received his McKenzie Certification in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy. He serves as District Chairman of the Upper Cumberland District of the Tennesse Physical Therapy Association and is on the Board of Directors at the state level. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Physical Therapy Provider Network TN/GA franchise. He is a certified clinical instructor for physical therapy students. When not working Larry enjoys attending sporting events, especially football and basketball (Go Vols, Go Tech). He enjoys guitar, hiking, running, and working out at the YMCA. He is actively involved in his church.
Finishing high school with a strong love of anatomy and physiology, Erin MacDonna attended Northern Illinois University receiving her Bachelors Degree in Health and Human Science and her Masters Degree in Physical Therapy.
After obtaining her degree in 2011, Erin practiced 2 years in a privately owned outpatient facility in Springfield, IL to be close to friends and family before deciding to pursue her passion for traveling the nation and became a traveling physical therapist. While working for Med Travelers, Erin has provided care to a variety of patients in over 10 Skilled Nursing facilities throughout Illinois and 2 Skilled Nursing Facilities in central Tennessee.
Yankee by birth, her heart resided in Tennessee as she decided to make the permanent move to this beautiful state and follow her dreams of returning to an outpatient setting. As a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and a Certified Clinical Instructor for physical therapy students, Erin enjoys sharing her passion for the profession as well as a strong craving for learning new therapeutic techniques and ideas. Working at Putnam Physical Therapy allows her the opportunity to spend quality time with her patients in order to successfully address their functional concerns, celebrate each success, and develop a personal yet professional therapist to patient relationship.
When Erin is not working with patients you can find her spending time with her Husband and their dogs, attending Zumba, traveling, watching movies, doing crafts or artwork, video chatting with her family, assisting with her church’s Youth Group or visiting Burgess Falls State Park.
Born and raised in Cookeville, Linzi Vetter attended Tennessee Technological University receiving her Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science and Physical Wellness in 2012. She then went on to receive her Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis in 2015. After graduation, Linzi and her husband were blessed with the opportunity to return to Cookeville to work and be close to family. Linzi is excited to be able to work in an outpatient orthopedic setting where she can continue to grow her knowledge and experience. Putnam Physical Therapy offers individualized patient care in which Linzi can show her compassion for each patient to be able to return them to their prior level of function and provide quality care for each person. As a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, she enjoys continual learning to provide patients with the best service available.
When Linzi is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Hunter, and their dog. She enjoys reading, watching sports, being outside, hiking, camping, running and walking. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends as well as traveling to new places with her husband. She is also very active with her church family.
