Peyton Boren, PTA

Physical Therapist Assistant

Peyton discovered her love for physical therapy following several sports injuries in her high school career participating in gymnastics, competitive cheerleading, softball, and rugby. She took an interest in the science of anatomy and physiology to better prevent and treat her own injuries as well as those of her teammates! Peyton attended Lee University where she played rugby for two years and graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree with an emphasis in Health Science in 2020. She proceeded to take a gap year following her undergraduate career where she had the pleasure of meeting Larry Burks. He hired her at Putnam Physical Therapy as a technician where she could learn more about the profession from the wonderful and knowledgeable staff.

Peyton continued her education at South College - Nashville where she obtained her Physical Therapist Assistant degree and license graduating in 2022. She began working in different outpatient clinics as a PRN therapist to see all types of therapy and ways of rehabilitation before relocating to Cookeville in 2023. Peyton has found a love for all types of physical therapy including working with pediatrics, neurological diseases and illnesses, sports injuries, orthopedic injuries, and post operative surgery rehabilitation. She is an active member with the American Physical Therapy Association where she continues her education and furthers her skills on latest therapeutic interventions and treatments.

Peyton’s favorite aspect of her job is meeting new people through her profession and helping them heal to return to the activities they love most. When she is not at the clinic, Peyton enjoys spending time with her dog, Arwen, reading, coaching softball and gymnastics, outdoor activities in her hometown of Rock Island, TN and spending time with her family and friends.
